Hart’s $90k PR Campaign
A public relations plan involving the William S. Hart Union High School District has been halted by the district board following controversy.
The $90,000 project, called the Strategic Communications Plan, was the result of a discussion earlier in the year where the district board agreed that the William S. Hart Union High School District was in need of a public image makeover.
The Plan would also show the community that the district was putting time and effort into the modernization of schools, as well as address any concern the public displayed about the board’s $43 million cost overrun.
The Plan was halted after inquiries were made regarding why Scott Wilk and and Tim Whyte were hired to take on the contract without the proposal being put out for bid.
Recent information indicates that Whyte will continue to work on the project without Wilk.
