The Smiser Mule Farm still stands untouched after all these years. Even with the threat of development a few years back, the old mule has prevailed.
So here is a rumor I heard about the ranch. Does anyone know if there is truth to it? What is the deal with a ranch that big with only one animal living on it anyway?
I heard that the original owner (I guess Mr. Smiser) left specific instructions in his will that the mule farm would remain intact until the very last mule died of natural causes. If that is the truth, then it would make sense why a lone mule sits in waiting for absolutely nothing.
The property has to be one of the last if not the last piece of prime real estate that remains untouched.
So what is the scoop? Has anyone else heard about the mule story?
