Hats off to everyone involved in the new Santa Clarita skate park. Word is it is “the best skate park ever”. Personally, I have been to many skate parks all over the country and I have never seen anything like this. A few residents were invited to a pre-launch skate afternoon to christen the park and the crowd was loving it. Aside from the fact that all the parents and spectators were (um) in the skate park and “in the way” it still was beyond any expectation.
A few things for parents to remember while at the skate park:
That thing by the stairs, you know the railing, well at a skate park it is an obstacle so don’t lean on it or stand by it.

The ledge, you know at the top of the bowl, not a place to put your stroller.

The steps around the park, not for your butt, don’t rest there.
This is likely one of the best skate parks in the country. As a skater mom, I am so happy and grateful that the kids have this now.

Your humor in your comments almost made me pee my pants! LMAO
We have quite a few skate parks here in The Valley Of The Sun, but nothing like what I am seeing in all the great photos you posted! The skate park in Paradise Valley Park is actually one of our best, but still nothing in comparison… hats off to Santa Clarita for realizing that the kids need a place to “play” (if you can call it that anymore with all the pro’s tours and so on) and for puttint the effort/cash needed into your park to make it so awesome!
Thanks for all the photos, I even had my ex-skater daughter take a look so she could see what an awesome park you guys have there.
