Day 24 of the Day Fire
There were a lot of evacuations that took place yesterday in the Lockwood Valley and Frazier Park areas. Residents where asked to voluntarily leave there homes and gather at Frazier Park High School to take shelter as the fire came closer to their neighborhoods.
The fire has burned over 160,000 acres as of today and has destroyed seven structures and a few vehicles in its path. None of which were occupied. Fire officials are considering moving residents as far as Bakersfield while evacuation efforts continue.
It has been said that if we don’t get any rain soon, this fire could burn through to December. With the winds kicking up, things keep getting worse.
This is the 5th largest fire in the history of the State of California.
