Major League Soccer Drafts Kyle Reynish

Local Soccer player drafted to Real Salt Lake in the 2007 Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft. Hart High’s own Kyle Reynish was picked #43 becoming the 10th Gaucho drafted by a Major League Soccer team in five years.
I don’t know much at all about soccer so here’s a link to the story before I botch this up. Congrats to Kyle!!

Looking for a Job in Santa Clarita?

COC and The Signal are hosting a Job Fair at College of the Canyons on Wednesday, April 18th from 11-3. The fair will be located in the S-Building.
They expect over 100 employers there to recruit for entry, middle and upper level job openings.
COC is even offering assistance with your resume (Call 661-362-3286).
This is a great opportunity for local residents in need of a job.

High School Softball Opens with an Upset

What could be the biggest upset in the world of high school fastpitch softball happened yesterday right here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Foothill League newbie West Ranch beat Foothill League veteran Hart (#1 ranked CIF Southern Section).
Offensive contributors to the game on the West Ranch team…Alyssa Hernandez, Bryanna DeLaTorre and Breanne Lendman who drove in all 4 runs taking her team to a 4-2 victory over Hart and making Foothill League history.

Community Health fair

The City of Santa Clarita is offering a Free Health Fair on Saturday April 14th at the Santa Clarita Community Center from 10am-3pm. The Community Center is located at 22421 Market Street in Newhall.
Some of the free screenings will include hearing, dental, breast exams, vision and cholesterol. In addition to the free screenings they will offer workshops covering nutrition and infant care.
Local sponsors have joined forces to bring this service to our community.
