carts

I don’t enjoy going to Walmart.
carts

When I was a teenager I used to work at Ralphs. We had this duty there. It was usually the folks at the bottom of the totem pole, but somebody had to do it. It was called…”cart duty”. In case anyone from Walmart is reading, that means you have to bring the carts in from the parking lot back into the store.

There are worse things, but it is a pain when you pull into a parking spot, then realize you can’t park there because there are carts parked there. So, back up, pull out and into another spot. Argh!! More carts.

  1. You know, if it weren’t for all those lazy ass customers who refuse to use the cart corrals that walmart has throughout their parking lots, then you wouldn’t have a problem with finding a clear parking spot. I also remember when I was little that everyone who brought a cart into the lot took the time to walk the empty cart back to the store-either that or there were people in the store who assisted in the loading of the goods and brought the cart right back in.I always bring the cart back in, its just good etiquette. Do you?

  2. Oh for the day when kids would rush to find carts to return so they could get the 25 cents per cart return from the machine!

If there’s a cart return in site, I use it. I’ve also encountered cart returns where they’re so full that you can’t squeeze another cart in there.

  3. Same here K & M’s mom. If there is a cart return and if there is room I will use it. If not, I always make sure the cart is secure on a planter or something so that it won’t role off and hit someone else’s car.

  4. Don’t you soccer moms have something better to do like ‘Keepin up with the Joneses.’

  5. Yikes GETALIFE, I guess this struck a chord with you. Oh wait, do you work at Walmart?

Oh and don’t call me a soccer mom.

  6. But you can call me a football mom. And proudly so.
