The city of Santa Clarita will be hosting a grand opening event for Discovery Park in Canyon Country. This 5-acre park is located on Camp Plenty and Soledad on Calle Way and is the first phase of development of the 20 acres that has yet to be developed. This is a passive river park that will extend the bike trail an extra 1/4 mile. You won’t see ball fields or fields of grass here, it’s more of a nature lovers park. In fact if you have a horse and want to make a pit stop at Discovery Park, they will even have a hitching post for you.
