If you were at the Westfield Town Center yesterday you could’ve been mobbed by the Santa Clarita chapter of the Red Hat Society. The ladies were dressed to kill in their red hats and purple dresses promenading through the mall and enjoying dinner and a birthday celebration at the food court.
Who’s birthday? No one in particular, but the Red hat Society has been around for 9 years now, so these ladies were honoring their red hat community.
The Red Hat Society is a community for woman to celebrate who they are. This support system was founded by Sue Ellen Cooper who gave her best friend a red felt fedora for a birthday present.
Seeing these ladies just puts a smile on my face. They are all just lovely.

I have to post this because it makes me laugh. Could you imagine driving down Soledad Cyn, la la la, Home Depot, Starbucks, usual stuff, Holy *&#$ a naked guy running down the street. HA, that is hysterical.
And yes, it actually happened last night on the corner of Camp Plenty and Soledad Cyn a 21 year old man was detained by Sheriff Deputies after a report of him running down the road in his birthday suit. The man was taken in to be checked for mental illness.
Never a dull moment!

There is so much more to Easter egg decorating than dipping. At our house we try to be very creative with our eggs.
Here are some of my favorites.
Happy Easter!

Santa Clarita Post Office

So I had a really fabulous experience yesterday at the Valencia Post Office. Yes, that’s right, The Post Office. I haven’t been inside in quite some time, but yesterday I needed to mail something express mail. So anyway, I got there around 4:30. There were a lot of people in line and in the lobby filling out forms or whatever.
They had an employee there working the lobby. He was directing people on where to go, showing us how to use the machines. At times, he was helping 2-3 customers at once. He really kept things moving. He was even talking to people in line to see if what they needed could be done at the self-service stations.
It was really cool to see a government agency take such a proactive role with customer service.
By the way, the gentleman was moving around so quickly, I couldn’t really see his name tag and I didn’t want to interrupt the flow. I think his name was Sam??
Keep in mind, if you have a credit card, there is so much you can do at the self-service machines. I was able to mail a letter express mail and not even stand I line. If you think the machines look intimidating, try it out. They are easy to use.
