Santa Clarita Valley Life
Helping Santa Clarita Grow Online - One Blog At A Time

I recently had dinner at a new Brazilian churrascaria (steakhouse) in Santa Clarita.  This one is really good and I am definitely going back on an empty stomach.

Barbacoa is located where Wild Time used to be in the Valencia Marketplace behind Starbucks. (Old Rd and McBean).  The meats are delicious and their buffet sides are great.  They offer 12 different meat choices including lamb, picanha, tri-tip filet and more.  They sell beer and wine and the all you can eat meal is around $35.

If you’re wondering where to go for Valentine’s Day I’d suggest giving this a try for two reasons.  First off, since it’s new hopefully it won’t be as crowded.  Second, the food and the service is really good.

The number in case you want to make a reservation is 288-1123.

We went here for valentine’s day. We had such a great experience. Being the food lovers that we are…we have tried several Brazilian steakhouses all over SOCAL and BARBACOA tops them all! The food is really DELICIOUS and the ingredients are fresh. We spoke to several of their servers who prepare / cut the steaks for you… they said that everything is made fresh daily and so are the sides! They also said that they have worked for many steakhouses of the same kind but BARBACOA really tops their list! More than the good food, the price is really affordable compared to other Brazilian all you can eat places… it beats FOGO DE CHAO in Beverly Hills hands down! A must try and I guarantee that you will come back again and again and again!!!!!! we definitely WILL!

Barbacoa have excellent service, good atmosphere and decent price. However, the meats didn’t have enough “BAM” or seasoning on them and the salad bar only have a few items. Also, Barbacoa doesn’t have a full bar and they only serve wines and beers. Unlike Fogo de Chão, their meats are more tastier and their salad bar have a huge variety dishes, gourmet cheese and a huge selection of wine, beer and cocktail drinks. I take Fogo de Chão any day over Barbacoa anyday if their price is not so high.

Barbacoa has all the ingredients to be successful restaurant however; they chose to use none of them. The food quality and choice is generally ok however, the over attentive amateurish staff leave a lot to be desired. Many of the wines on the extensive list are never available and along with some bizarre rules for ordering items not on the buffet this place definitely does not consider the customer to be king. Would like to see a new restaurant survive in the area however I don’t think this will be one of them. My advice, stay at home and order in.

This restaurant had the best service, food, and music playing while I enjoyed a wonderful buffet lunch with my friends. The food was excellent. Just being able to savor the taste of several different meats that were perfectly seasoned made the meal more spectacular.

Went there for dinner last week… overall the food experience was excellent. The price was not too bad, considering the food was of such high quality. THe meat carvers were very attentive, their wine selection was OK, and the salad bar and hot foods were awesome. Definitely worth checking out! I was truly surprised and it’s now my new favorite brazilian bbq restaurant. Be sure to try their garlic beef.
