Santa Clarita hits 115 degrees

We got really lucky to be out of town the week of the heatwave in Santa Clarita.

We were vacationing in Utah where the temperature was a comfortable 80. My friends were informing me daily at how lucky I was to not be in Santa Clarita. Apparently, there was a huge power outage on the north end of town that lasted for hours. I heard that the Hyatt opened up one of there conference rooms so residents could come in for the night and sleep on the floor. Nice, but I heard they were charging. Is this true?

Hopefully we won’t see temps like that again til next year.
